Journal of Maritime Literature and Culture (JMLC)  (Print ISSN: -; Online ISSN: -) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by Hong Kong Information Education Publishing Company Limited. JMLC publishes two issues each year in both Chinese and English. The journal is edited by Professor Wang Songlin of Ningbo University.


Scope and Topics 

The research field of Journal of Marine Literature and Culture focuses on the theoretical construction and practical exploration of marine literature and culture studies against the background of the interweaving of globalization, marine civilization mutual learning and ecological transformation, covering core areas such as marine literary creation and criticism, the protection and inheritance of marine cultural heritage, marine ecological culture and sustainable development, transnational marine cultural exchange and interaction, the construction and dissemination of marine discourse, the research on marine folk customs and marine beliefs, marine culture and the construction of a maritime power, as well as interdisciplinary theories and methodological innovation in marine literature and culture studies. It is committed to revealing the diverse connotations and contemporary values of marine civilization, exploring the ecological wisdom and humanistic spirit contained in marine literature and culture, expanding the theoretical boundaries and academic horizons of marine literature and culture studies, and providing a high-level academic platform for promoting the academic innovation of marine literature and culture studies and facilitating the inheritance, development and international exchange of marine civilization.

JMLC is a fully open access journal that provides immediate and permanent free access to all published content for all users worldwide without requiring any article processing charges (APCs) or subscription fees. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, allowing unrestricted sharing, distribution, and reuse with proper attribution. Authors retain copyright of their work while granting the journal publishing rights. We support responsible scholarly sharing by permitting authors to deposit preprints in any repository without embargo and postprints immediately upon publication. This sustainable model maintains the highest standards of peer review and editorial quality while eliminating financial barriers to knowledge dissemination.
